Charles Alfred Cox

Charles Alfred Cox, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the age of 84. Loving husband of 66 years to Dorothy Cox (nee: Smith); dear son of the late George Phillip Cox and Roxanna Mae Cox; devoted father of Debra (Steve) Maher and Randy Cox; cherished grandfather of 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; brother of Thomas Cox and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Charles "Rick" Cox II, granddaughter Amy Walker, and siblings Loretta Sauer, Eugene Cox, and Robert "Bob" Cox. Loved by so many who called him Grandpa Cox.
Charles was an active member of the St Charles Co Detachment 725 Marine Corps League, had been a member of the Democratic Club, Berkeley Lions Club, and Berkeley VFW Post. He also coached the St Louis Flames Baseball Team and Starz Softball team. Charles was also a Council Man at Large for the City of Berkeley. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, baseball, family vacations, and days at Girl Scout Camp. But most of all he enjoyed being around his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He was loved by so many that he will never be forgotten.
