Carolyn Kay McEnaney (nee Cook), of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Butch McEnaney; cherished daughter of the late Chester and Catherine (nee Putney) Cook; devoted mother of Stacy (Ed) Schaefer and Kimberly (Joe) Hennessey; dear sister of Jimmy Cook; loving grandmother of Connor Schaefer, Austin Schaefer, Trevor Hennessey, Alyssa Hennessey, and Brianna Hennessey. Kay was preceded in death by her three sisters, Jackie Cook, Ella Blankenship, Joyce Limbaugh; and her brother, Gary Cook.
Kay was a devoted caregiver to Butch, selflessly dedicating her time and love to caring for him. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who rarely missed cheering on her favorite team. Kay also enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and spending time with her family. She especially loved entertaining, opening her home for family gatherings and celebrations that created countless cherished memories. Her warm hospitality, caring heart, and love for those around her will be remembered always. Kay was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Carolyn's name to American Heart Association.
