Carolyn Flores

Carolyn Marie Flores (nee Childers), of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the age of 47. Devoted daughter of John Edward and Vernale Louise Childers; beloved mother of Mariah (Kevin Van Dillen) Childers, Gabriela Flores, Alfredo Flores, Christian Flores, Magdalena Flores, Carlos Flores, Alliyah Childers, Isaiah Stout and Kylah Childers; cherished grandmother of Mila Veltman, Davina Van Dillen and Amari Childers; dear sister of John Childers, Brenda Childers, and Brian (Jessica Peluso) Childers; loving aunt, niece, cousin and friend.

Carolyn was a vibrant and unforgettable woman who lit up every room she entered with her humor, laughter, and larger-than-life presence. Known for her love of collecting miniatures and her remarkable artistic talent, she had beautiful handwriting and a passion for drawing. Though sometimes playfully immature, she was one of the funniest people you could ever meet, always either laughing or making others do the same. Carolyn was deeply devoted to her children, thinking of them every day and willing to give them the shirt off her back. She loved her grandchildren unconditionally and was a truly wonderful grandma. A woman of deep faith, she constantly prayed for her family and lived her life with generosity, strength, and devotion. A hard worker, she was a true jack of all trades—and a master of them all. Carolyn was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
