Caroline Emma Malich

Caroline Emma Malich, age 90 of St. Charles, MO, passed away on April 21, 2023, at The Quarters at Des Peres in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on June 5, 2023, at Baue Funeral Home, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301. Visitation will be from 11am until the 1pm service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens immediately after visitation. 

Caroline was born in Andover, Iowa on April 19, 1933, the daughter of John and Elsie (Johannsen) Lorenzen. She graduated from Delmar High School in 1950 and attended American Institute of Commerce (AIC) in Davenport, Iowa for one year. Caroline married Louis Malich Jr on October 2, 1954, in Clinton, Iowa. Louis passed away in 1987. Caroline worked many administrative jobs while performing homemaker duties. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and playing Bingo.  

Caroline is survived by one daughter; Laura Doelling of St. Louis, MO, Edward Malich and daughter-in-law Mary Malich of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Julie Maddock, Lindsey Malich, Kevin Doelling and Nicole Doelling; one great-granddaughter Amelia Emma-Louise; three sisters, Joan Slapnicka of Camanche, Donna Laufenberg of Tennessee, and Nancy Luckritz of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis; two brothers Albert and Harold; three sisters, Elaine Garrison, Linda Wagner, and Helen Lauritzen; two sons, Vincent and Matthew; and son-in-law Michael Doelling. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.  

The family invites you to a luncheon following the service from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Baue Funeral Home - Cave Springs.
