Carole Anne Mentzel

Carole Anne Mentzel (nee Hensley), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the age of 74. Loving wife of 54 years to Al Mentzel; beloved daughter of the late Albert B. and Norma J. Hensley; dear sister of Gary (Robyn) Hensley, Debra (Alan) Middleton, David Hensley, and the late Linda (Budd, survives) Langley; sister-in-law of Fred Mentzel, Mary Jane Mentzel, and David Mentzel; treasured aunt of Dianna Lynn, Christeen Wheeler; great-aunt of Alex (Kaitlyn) Wheeler, Chelsea (Joe Aiello), and Farah, Jake-Brandon-Bradley and Jennifer (Blake) Pobst, Sarah Hensley, Lauren Middleton, Samantha (David) Long, Bryan Lowe, Chad Lowe, James Middleton, Lesley (Chris) Lumpkin, Alisson (Darryl) Hempel, Michael Mentzel, Kylee Hempel, and Jesse Lumpkin.

Carole loved working in her yard and garden and cherished spending time at their country home in Warrenton. She owned and operated Carole’s Coffiers in Bridgeton until her retirement. Carole was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flower, memorials may be made in Carole's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
