Carole Lynn Laramie, age 76 of Foley and previously of St. Charles, MO, passed peacefully away with her children by her side on Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born June 16, 1942 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Austin and Lucille Godwin.
Carole thoroughly enjoyed her 3-decade career as an elementary school teacher in the St. Charles School District and was proud of her 2 granddaughters and granddaughter-in-law who are teachers. She was also the co-owner for many years of a local contracting business with her husband until his passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her 3 children & their spouses, Mitch and Tamara Snider of Big Pine Key, FL., Kay and Johnny Dreher of Wentzville, MO and Carrie and Jay Budde of Foley, MO. Loving Nana of Ashley (B.J.) Gowin, J.R. (Emily) Dreher, Dylan (Kaitlin) Snider and Caitlin Snider, the beloved great-grandmother of Jack and Mia Snider. Carole is also survived by an adored brother and sister-in-law Jr (JoAnn) Godwin of Poplar Bluff, her special Cousin Wanda (Skip) Tydingco of Colorado Springs, her first husband and children’s father Mike Snider. Preceding her to heaven are her parents, her husband Will Laramie, sister Barbara Kay Godwin and her infant twin Mary Ann Godwin.
As per her wishes, she was a donor thru Mid America Transplant. The family will hold a memorial visit with a service immediately following on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Baue West Clay Street from 4 to 6 pm.
Carole was so very proud of her son, a retired Captain of the Monroe Co. Sheriff’s Office, one grandson, a Police Officer for the city of O’Fallon and another grandson a Key West Fire Fighter, that in lieu of flowers, memorials to be made to
Backstoppers.
