Carol Annette Purdy

Carol Annette Purdy (nee Brown), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Wilber Dean Purdy; cherished daughter of the late Ruth and Milburn Brown; devoted mother of Kevin (Linda Sikora) Purdy and Keith (Shannon) Purdy; loving grandmother of Kelsey Purdy and Keaton Purdy;  bonus grandmother to Jessica (Brandon) Rosen, and Andrew Dolgin; bonus great grandmother of Brady and Sloane. She was an aunt to Greg Brown, Lisa J. Waldron, Cheryl L. (Martin) Ramirez, and Darrin R. Brown; dear sister of the late Allen (Patricia) Brown.

Carol and her loving husband, Dean, shared 68 wonderful years of marriage, filled with adventure, frequent travels to Europe, dining out, and attending musical concerts. A lively and outgoing woman, Carol had a deep appreciation for all types of art and music. She was a devoted fan of Cardinals baseball and Ohio State football and "The best damn band in the land". She played a special role in the lives of the neighborhood children, often seen as a second mom. Carol was also part of the Mercury 6 group, made up of wives whose husbands worked on the Mercury space program and other space projects. Sweet, fun, and deeply family-oriented, Carol always put her loved ones first. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
