Bruce Tolbert

Bruce R. Tolbert of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Carol Koeppe; cherished son of Arthur and Evelyn Tolbert; devoted father of Carrie (John) Spalding and Rebecca (Daryl Kyle) Smith; loving grandfather of Julia Spalding, Kirk "Ethan" Smith, Allyson Spalding, and Blake Smith; Preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Tolbert. Dear friend to many.

Bruce was a devoted husband, proud veteran, and dedicated public servant. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, a time that deeply shaped his lifelong commitment to serving his country. After his military service, he continued that dedication as an Expert Archives Technician Specialist with the National Archives and Records Administration, where he worked from 1972 until his retirement in 2006.

Bruce had a deep passion for history and spent countless hours immersed in genealogical research and exploring the intricacies of World War II. A true scholar at heart, he was also an avid reader and lifelong learner. His sharp mind and generous spirit made him a beloved colleague, friend, and family member.

Bruce was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
