Brenda "Bo" McDonnell

Brenda “Bo” McDonnell (née Guss), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of James “Jim” McDonnell; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle Guss; devoted mother of Carrie (Scott) Muehlemann and Katie (Jon) Griffin; loving grandmother of Ava and Tyler; dear sister of Margie, JoAnn, Pat, and Jean. Brenda is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Bo was sentimental by nature and treasured the memories, keepsakes, and special mementos that held meaning for her. She also took great joy in being a dog grandma and cherished every opportunity to spoil her beloved grand-pups.

She especially loved Christmas and worked hard to keep holiday traditions alive. She enjoyed giving handmade ornaments, boxes of candy, and other thoughtful gifts, often choosing things simply because she knew they would bring people joy. Her generosity and thoughtfulness reflected the love she had for those around her.

Bo was outgoing and deeply involved in her church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. A longtime friend of Bill W., she also found strength and fellowship in that community.

Above all, Bo loved her daughters and never missed an opportunity to brag about them. She was immensely proud of them and carried that pride with her wherever she went.

Bo was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
