Billy "Bill" Gene Rachell

Billy “Bill” Gene Rachell, of Bridgeton, Missouri transitioned peacefully on January 13, 2023, at the age of 78 surrounded by loved ones.  

Bill was born in Cahokia, Il. to Willie C. and Lena Rachell on June 13, 1944. Bill was a devout Christian who enjoyed bible study with friends, the solitude of a calm lake with a fishing pole in his hand, an avid photographer and bird watcher.  

Bill is survived by his partner and best friend, Edith Hoffman, two sons, David Rachell (Diana), and Ethan Rachell (Melanie), and brothers Dale Rachell, (Sandy) and Jim Rachell (Judy), along with his granddaughters, Alexandria and Harper, and a great-granddaughter, former spouses Donita Rachell, and Susan Gray. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bryce, Phillip, Monty, and sisters Betty (Hargraves), and Dean.
