Billie Jean Thorne

Billie Jean Thorne, Lampe, MO, daughter of Clyde and Dorothy (Davis) Brown, was born December 3, 1929, at Waterloo, IA, and departed this life on November 1, 2023, at the age of 93.

Billie was united in marriage to Charles A. Thorne.  Together they moved to Lampe, MO, from St. Charles, MO, in 1998.

Billie worked for the Boy’s Club of St. Charles for 32 years.  During that time she became a mother figure to many children forging relationships that still last to this day.  

Membership was held in the Kimberling City United Methodist Church and the Kimberling City Elks.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Thorne and parents, Clyde and Dorothy Brown.

Billie is survived by two sons, Mike Thorne and his wife, Gayle of St. Charles, MO, and Steve Thorne and his wife, Kathy of Southport, NC, four grandchildren; Cory (Amy) Thorne, B.J. (Art) Matthews, Steve (Jen) Thorne and Jeff (Amy) Thorne and ten great grandchildren; Nick Thorne, David Thorne, Cody Thorne, Caitlyn Thorne, Austin Thorne, Olivia Thorne, Parker Thorne, Addison Ferrell, Peyton Ferrell and Wyatt Matthews.
