Betty Jo Fuerst

Betty Jo Fuerst, (nee: Merry), of Saint Peters, MO, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the age of 69.  Loving wife of 49 years to John L. Fuerst; beloved daughter of the late Howard Kenneth and Mary Kathryne Merry; devoted mother of Melissa Patterson and Jessica Stabile; cherished grandmother of Michaela Patterson; dear sister of Ken (Imogene) Merry and Larry (Nelda) Merry; best friend and cousin of Ava (Jim) Skinner and cousin of Geneva (Roy) Zeigler; dearest aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Betty Jo was also preceded in death by her infant son, Douglas Scott, and her nephew, Dustin Skinner.

Betty Jo was strong in her faith as a Southern Baptist woman.  She loved growing herbs and bedding plants in her greenhouses.  She enjoyed crafts, rug weaving and spinning.  She loved chocolate, and baking sweets.  Her love of animals throughout the years included a Llama, goats, and her chickens. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Betty Jo was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
