Betty L. Greenlee

Betty L. Greenlee (nee Betty L. Daffron), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at the age of 82. Cherished daughter of the late Severt L. Daffron and the late Ida D. Hendrickson (nee Pendergrass); Devoted mother of Sherri (John) Gorman, Linda Greenlee and Amy Greenlee; friend and father of her children, Cecil Greenlee; loving grandmother of Jamie (A.J.) Freymuth, Justin Mikel, Megan Mikel and the late Jeremy P. Gorman; treasured great-grandmother of Peyton Freymuth and Teagan Freymuth; dear sister of Donna Pisani and the late Larry Hendrickson; aunt of Melissa (Tommie) Bequette, Angie (Anthony) Pisani Hassler and the late Scott Pisani.

Betty's career was working in a senior living community as the Director of Housekeeping. She enjoyed and loved the job as well as the residents who lived there. She was excellent at keeping the community clean and healthy and went above and beyond for the residents and their families in many other ways. Her energy, spunk, and sass were enjoyed by all. In 2012 she was nominated by her employer for the Missouri Outstanding Older Worker recognition and was invited to spend a week in Jeff City along with nine other nominees. She went on to be chosen as Top Missouri Outstanding Older Worker, a recognition well deserved.

Betty enjoyed bowling, bingo, whopping butt at Wordle and hanging out at the kitchen table with her family and friends while assembling puzzles. Her down time was spent sipping Chardonnay and watching episodes of Murder She Wrote. Top notch acting and great murder mysteries, she'd say.

She had a special bond with her sister, Donna, what one didn't think of the other one did. They had late nights and early mornings and late nights into the morning. We will miss their antics.

Betty loved her family with all her heart and was very proud of each and everyone one of them. She will be dearly missed.
