Bessie Louise Edwards (nee Stephens), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the age of 88. Survived by Husband, Thomas Edmond Edwards; Daughter, Debra Lynn (James) Saladin, Grandson, Christopher James Saladin, Daughter, Patricia Sue (William) Faulkner, Granddaughter, Holly Begley, Grandson, William (Marsha) Faulkner, III, Grandson, Robert (Lisa) Faulkner, Great-Grandson, Tyson Begley, Great-Grandson, Brendan Begley, Great-Granddaughter, Molly Faulkner, Great-Granddaughter, Katy Faulkner, Great-Granddaughter, Addison Faulkner, Great-Grandson, Lucas Faulkner, Daughter, Elizabeth Louise (the late Richard) Vogt, Granddaughter, Leslie Doerhoff, Grandson, Richard (Kim) Vogt, Grandson, Andrew (Martha) Vogt, Great-Granddaughter, Leeloo Doerhoff, Great-Grandson, Michael Vogt, Great-Grandson, Evan Vogt, Great-Grandson, Colin Vogt, Son, Thomas Lee (the late Kathy) Edwards, Grandson, Alexander Edwards, Great-Granddaughter, Melanie Edwards, Daughter, Nancy Ruth (Brad) Firestone, Grandson, Andrew Thomas Firestone, Grandson, Allen Taylor Firestone, Son, James "Chris" Christopher Edwards, Grandson, Nicholas James Edwards, Brother, Neal Stephens, Sister, Sharon (Larry) Welsh.
Preceded in death by her father, Albert Benjamin Stephens; mother, Sally Lorena Stephens; siblings Charles Stephens, Albert Stephens, Maisie Hendricks, Barbara Britton, Jenny Davidson, Jean Jones, Esther Miller, and Ella Osborn.
Bessie was a member of Gateway Church of the Nazarene. She was a woman of great faith and was very dedicated to her church. Bessie loved playing piano and singing for her church. In her free time, she liked working on embroidery and taking time to travel all over. Family was very important to her, she loved spending time with them. Bessie loved playing bean bag baseball (also known as corn hole). She was very competitive and was always on the winning team. Bessie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Bessie's name to American Heart Association.
