Bernice Ginnever, of O'Fallon, Missouri, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday, August 31, 2009 at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Tom Ginnever Sr.; dear daughter of the late Joseph D. and Agnes M. Griesenauer; devoted mother of Tom (Ann) Ginnever Jr., Connie (Roland) Sebacher, Joe (Nancy) Ginnever, Mary Sue Sherrow, and Jack (Sheryl) Ginnever; cherished grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 40, and great-great grandmother of 3; dear sister-in-law of Harland Stroud; beloved cousin, aunt, and friend to many. Bernice is preceded in death by her sisters Irene Westhoff, Loretta Stroud, Marcie Luetkenhaus, her brother Bernard Griesenauer, and grandson Gary Wies. Bernice cofounded the O'Fallon Library, was a founding member of Widows or Widowers (WOWs), Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Prayer Tree, Ladies Sodality of Assumption, Assumption Quilting Group, and a long time member of Assumption Church. She was also an avid trout fisher and Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
