Barbara Kay Jaeger

Barbara Kay Jaeger (nee Bargen), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Bobby Dale Alvin Jaeger; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Adelle Bargen; devoted mother of Ray (Jennifer) Jaeger, Miranda (Shawn) Donaldson, the late Sue Ann Irene (Eric) Fry, and the late Jerry Dale Henry Jaeger; loving grandmother of Julianna Kuhlmann and Mackenzie Jaeger; dear sister of Marva Lee (Dan) Heumann and the late Roland (Mary) Bargen; sister-in-law of Carol Jean (Kenneth) Jaeger.  

A proud resident of St. Charles, Barbara possessed a wealth of knowledge about the land's history and took great pride in her upbringing. She loved sharing her stories about her family history and heirlooms. Barbara took immense pride in her family, especially honoring her sons' and husband's dedicated service in the military.  

Barbara's love for music was diverse, but she particularly enjoyed Elvis and the melodies of country music. She had a love for traveling and going on road trips to historical sites across the country. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she explored new places, creating cherished memories along the way. 

Known for her culinary talents, Barbara enjoyed baking for others. Her homemade treats became a source of comfort and warmth, reflecting the love she poured into every dish. The holidays also held a special place in her heart, especially Christmas.  

Barbara enjoyed going to many festivals with her family. As a devoted sports enthusiast, Barbara cheered passionately for the Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, embodying the true spirit of a loyal fan. Barbara was always reading the newspaper, staying informed about the world around her. In quieter moments, she found solace in the pages of romance novels, where she could escape into tales of love and adventure. 

Barbara Jaeger will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to Toys for Tots or Emmanuel U.C.C. Cemetery Fund.
