Barbara Leann Carroll

Barbara Leann Carroll (nee Worring), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Richard “Dick” Carroll; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Rosabelle “Rose” Worring; devoted mother of Brenda (Von) Semke, Christine (Jeff) Schwepker; loving grandmother of Ryan Semke, Brooke Semke, Paige Schwepker, and Joe Schwepker; dear sister of Christy (Mike) McGrath; loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

A woman of deep faith in Jesus, Barbara lived out her beliefs daily with grace. She met Dick at Glacier Bible Camp, and their love story spanned over 60 years. Barbara was a devoted teacher and loving wife who poured her heart into everything she did. She spent her career teaching 2nd grade 3rd grade, and Sunday school, cherishing her students and delighting in decorating her classroom for every season. She made learning joyful and meaningful for every child she taught. Creative and artistic, Barbara loved scrapbooking, photography, and traveling the country with her husband. Above all, she treasured her family. She celebrated holidays and birthdays with enthusiasm, always making special occasions unforgettable. Her laughter was contagious, and she made friends wherever she went. Strong, resilient, and adventurous, Barbara faced life’s challenges with courage and faith. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to Shriner's Hospital, in gratitude for the care she received there as a child with polio.
