Audrey E. Mallinckrodt

August 29, 1933 — August 2, 2022

St. Charles, Missouri

Audrey E. Mallinckrodt (nee Logan), of Wright City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late Robert G. Mallinckrodt; beloved daughter of the late Forest and Myrtle Logan; devoted mother of Janice Masters and the late Dean T. Mallinckrodt; cherished grandmother of Christine (David) Sadler, Mike (Mindy) Mallinckrodt, Ryan Masters, Beth Kincaid, and Nick (Tasha) Kincaid; treasured great-grandmother of Brandon (Jenna) Mallinckrodt, Sara Mallinckrodt, Cole Sams, Collin Sams, Joshua Mallinckrodt, Emily Sadler, James Sadler, Carter Kincaid, Deakin Kincaid, Jayden Masters, Carrera Masters, and Rylan Masters. Audrey was also preceded in death by her two older brothers, and is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Mallinckrodt.

Audrey was a hard worker who devoted more than 25 years to the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier. She grew up on a farm in Wright City, where her love for animals began, but especially for cats. She had a natural green thumb when it came to taking care of her plants, and she always enjoyed doing yard work. Audrey was a great cook and baker, and truly loved for her cheesecake, gooey butter cake, and her pumpkin crunch cake.

To stay active, Audrey was a mall-walker and enjoyed walking every day. She loved to travel with her husband, most notably to Hawaii and the Bahamas, as well as other destinations. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting blankets, and collecting carnival glass. She liked funny movies, but also loved the show Matlock and watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved baseball and was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and she always had the game on the radio.

More than anything, Audrey loved spending time with her family. She loved to dance with her husband, Robert, and they were married for 56 years. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she always looked forward to videoing their games and activities.

Audrey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Audrey's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
