Arthur Lee Wilson, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the age of 81. Loving husband of 60 years to the late Caroline (Pini) Wilson; Son of the late Arthur G. Wilson and the late Myrtle Altig; devoted father of Dan (Amy) Wilson, Doug (Cheri) Wilson, David (Maralee) Wilson; loving grandfather of Haley Wilson, Mackenzie (Quentin) Tharp, Jacob Wilson, Lindsey (Pete) Niko and Emily Wilson; treasured great-grandfather of Alana Tharp and Jaxon Niko; dear brother to many.
Arthur, an esteemed figure, held the distinguished position of a former commander within the Missouri American Legion, showcasing his commitment to veterans' causes. Additionally, he was an active member of the La Societe Des 40 Hommes ET & Chevaux, emphasizing his engagement with organizations dedicated to supporting veterans. His involvement extended to the Navy Club of Missouri, where he participated as a member of the Chef De Gare Club, underlining his deep-rooted connections within the military community.
Beyond his military service on the USS Intrepid from June 1960 to June 1963, Arthur demonstrated a multifaceted commitment to service. Involved in youth athletics and various charitable activities, he exemplified a holistic approach to community engagement. Notably, his affiliation with the mentioned organizations highlights a comprehensive dedication to fostering camaraderie and support within the veteran community, showcasing Arthur's broad impact on both military and civilian spheres.
Arthur was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
