Arthur “Rich” Bratton, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Petrece Bratton; cherished son of the late Anna H. and Arthur L. Bratton; devoted father of Richard (Tammy) Bratton, Keith (Nanette) Bratton, Jeremy (Katie) Bratton, and Jacob (Kelly) Hood; loving grandfather of Hawke, Patricia, and Benjamin; treasured great-grandfather of Hensliee; dear brother-in-law of Claire (Bill) Bratton; best friend of Ken Blake; and pet owner of his beloved Nuggee, Zeke, and Sable.
Rich worked in the trucking and forklift industry for most of his life, retiring from A.D. Lift after 20 dedicated years in the parts department. Rich was a deeply involved and devoted family man who took great pride in being a grandfather, always making time for his loved ones and never hesitating to lend a helping hand or share his thoughts. He was naturally charming, quick-witted, and had the ability to make friends wherever he went. Rich created many cherished memories, from preparing special breakfasts for his grandkids to making Christmas cookies each year, and he enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, playing cards, darts, bowling, and softball. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Rich's name to The Backstopppers.
