Arlene E. Rimert (nee Dicus), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 94. Loving mother of Lisa (Jim) Highfill, Joseph Rimert, Jon (Karen) Rimert, and daughter-in-law, Jerianne Rimert; dear sister of Kenneth (Clara) Dicus, cherished grandmother of Rebecca Rimert, Andrea (Matt) Stueck, Jacob Rimert, J.T. (Nicole Tishler) Highfill, Hailey (Ben) Kintz, Sam (Dee) Highfill, Allen (Terri) Rimert, Kayla Rimert, Periann Rimert, Shana (Mike) Shrum, Jon Curtis (Melyssa) Rimert, Marlana (Ryan) Henning; treasured great-grandmother of 21 and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Mary Dicus; her husband, Thomas A. Rimert; her sons, Peter Rimert and Timothy Rimert; her siblings, Stanford Dicus, Eugene Dicus, Frank Dicus, Orville Dicus, Leona Jiskra, and Mary Alice Manchester; and her granddaughter Jessica Rimert.

Arlene was married to the love of her life, Thomas, for nearly 60 years. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, constantly there for them at all activities, always available for sleepovers and hugs, had high standards for herself and passed those on to children and grandchildren. She belonged to All Saints Church in St. Peters, MO for many years and later All Saints Church in Mesa, AZ. Arlene was a proud and dedicated member of Ladies Sodality, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and a devoted volunteer at St. Peters Hospital. She generously gave her time, over 40 years, to scouting (Training, Cub Scout Day Camp, Merit Badge Counselor, Leader). Arlene was also active in the St. Peters Square Dance Club and participated in both the PTA and Mothers Club. She was a grade schoolteacher in Tony, WI and later was a permanent substitute teacher at St. Peters Elementary and Lewis and Clark Elementary in St. Peters. Arlene was an avid STL Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan and found joy in gardening, fishing, bird watching, baking, reading, camping, square dancing, and playing games competitively at family functions. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Arlene's name to Cardinal Glennon.
