Anthony J. “Tony” Gartner, Jr.

Gartner, Jr., Anthony J. “Tony” of Saint Peters, MO, died Friday, October 23, 2015, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 63 years of Louise Doloris Gartner; cherished son of the late Anthony J. and Helen Gartner, Sr.; devoted father of Anita (Richard) Tippit, Richard (Christine) Gartner, Elaine Gartner, Phyllis (Chuck) Smith, Steven Gartner, David (Lisa) Gartner, Matthew Gartner, and the late Michael John Gartner; dear father-in-law of Aggie Gartner. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Shaw, Sandra Christie, and Keith Gartner. Tony was also a loving grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Tony received his Master of Business Administration from Saint Louis University. He was a pitcher in the minor leagues. He enjoyed painting, stained glass, art, and collecting elephants. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
