Anne Caryl Phelps

June 13, 1941 — May 1, 2024

Lake Saint Louis, Missouri

Anne Caryl “Nancy” Phelps, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the age of 82. Cherished daughter of the late Caryl and Clyde Phelps; dear sister of Clyde "Cap" Phelps; loving cousin of Charlie (Jane) Blue, Richard (Sue) Blue, and the late Bob (Carol- living) Blue; she will also be remembered by a host of other relatives and friends.

Nancy was a vibrant individual, radiating with personability and a keen sense of humor, relishing in the company of others and cherishing her independence dearly. She took great pride in both her physical appearance and her home, investing time in decorating and designing it to her liking. A regular at Emmaus homes for over three decades, she forged lasting relationships and found joy in activities ranging from getting her hair and nails done to enjoying movies and crafting with her brother, Cap. Nancy had a soft spot for animals, particularly dogs, and found comfort in her collection of stuffed toy-frogs and bears. She was a devout Christian, finding solace in listening to bible stories and cherished holidays like the 4th of July, often spending her summers at camps, reveling in the festivities.

Nancy’s love for life was palpable in her enthusiasm for various interests, including music, SpongeBob, and her affection for Disney, with Disneyland holding a special place in her heart alongside beloved characters like Peter Pan and Snow White. Her passion for living fully and embracing the joys of each day endeared her to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by her community.

The family wants to give a special thank you to all the staff at Emmaus homes. Especially to Maria Miller her associate client service manager and D'Noshie Bennett- her client service manager. They would also like to thank case manager Sara Bozarth from Developmental Disabilities Resource Board of St. Charles County

Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to Emmaus Homes.
