Anna Marie Ehlmann

September 24, 1924 — December 24, 2018

Anna Marie Ehlmann (nee Soenker) passed away on Dec. 24, 2018 at the age of 94. She was born to John Soenker and Regina Soenker (Solto) September 24, 1924 and was the beloved wife of the late Kurt Ehlmann; sister to the late Harlan Soenker and Clarice Powers (Soenker); loving mother to Charlotte Marsh-Trueman, Bryon (Barbara) Ehlmann, and Mary (Fred) Zimmerman; grandmother to Wesley (Molly) Marsh, Kenton (Monica) Marsh , Kirsten (Brett) Bredensteiner, Ryan (Shannon) Zimmerman, Kathryn (Mike) Johnson, Bethany and Jonathan Ehlmann and step-grandchildren Fred and Brian Zimmerman, Ami Beery, Sean and Brian Ludwig; great-grandmother to 10; and a friend to many.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles and a long-time volunteer for Lydia Society, Immanuel Mother’s Club, St. Joseph Hospital Gift Shop, and Parkside Meadows (now Windsor Estates). She was an avid golfer, bowler, and member of her Immanuel birthday club.

The family thanks everyone for their warm thoughts and in lieu of flowers will be grateful for any memorial gifts, especially to Lutheran Family and Children’s Services. Internment with immediate family and lunch for all at the Fellowship Hall to follow.
