Anita Ryan, of St. Charles, Missouri, led a wonderful life. She was born November 7th 1975 in Taipei, Taiwan. She grew up with her mother, Li Quing, father, Huang Zhongxing, and older brother, Simon Huang, where she was surrounded by a very loving family, including her grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
After graduating high school, she came to the United States and attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She would later earn a master’s degree as well. She met the love of her life, Corey Ryan, while at a dance club with friends. That night, on the dance floor, Corey asked Anita where she was from; to which she answered, “Taiwan”. Corey responded, “Me too!” and Anita called bullshit. After meeting each other, Anita had to go back home temporarily. They were devastated to leave each other but stayed in touch over the phone and by writing letters. After being separated for six months, when Anita came back to the United States, Corey proposed and of course, she said yes! They were married on December 4th, 1998.
Corey and Anita shared a beautiful life and built a wonderful family together. They had their first child Brianna on February 2, 2002 and on June 22, 2006, they welcomed a second child, Madelyn. They would often visit Lost Valley Lake resort in Owensville. This was Anita’s favorite place to go with her family. She loved being outside and finding adventures with her family.
Anita was a very beloved wife to Corey Ryan, and mother of Brianna and Madelyn Ryan. She was also a dear sister, daughter-in-law, aunt, cousin and best friend. If you asked anyone about Anita, everybody would give you a similar answer. She had the best and biggest smile. She was beautiful not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. She was a light that shone on everyone. She was always full of smiles and laughs, and she truly made a difference in people’s days, lives, and hearts. She cared so deeply and genuinely for everyone she loved, and her love for others was limitless. She was the definition of selfless. She was the best friend anyone could ask for. She was funny and always full of life. She never cared about what anybody thought of her, and she had the most adorable accent. She was honest, hardworking, strong willed, and a good cook. She was positive, passionate, sweet, compassionate, and genuine. Words could never do her justice, for she was precious beyond words. She truly was so unique and special. She will be dearly missed by all the people who were blessed to know her.
