Anita May Genteline, 88, of O’Fallon, MO was welcomed into eternal life peacefully on the evening of Sunday, November 10, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born February 17, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Vincent and Rose Lamacchia. She was preceded in death by her sisters Flora (Herman) Leidinger, Mary (Jim) Herold and Rose (Dick) Sauer.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Genteline; dear mother and mother-in-law of Carol (the late Bill) Breslin, Rose Graham, Joe (Karen) Vonarx, Julie (Ken) Voss, and Lisa (Greg) Palmer; loving grandmother of Jake (Rhonda) Breslin, Katie (Jeremy) Buschmann, Billy Breslin, Kelsey (Nick) Haley, Kyle Graham, Ben Graham, Natalie (Michael) Kirner, Stephanie (Dave) Little, Madison Vonarx, Eric (Natalie) Voss, Matt (Elise) Voss, Amber (TJ) Voss, Bryce Vonarx James, and Hope Vonarx Palmer; loving great-grandmother of Connor Buschmann, Chloe Buschmann, Harper Haley, Nolan Haley, Leo Kirner, Oscar Kirner, Mackenzie Voss, Brianna Voss, Livvie Voss, Gavin Voss, Ivan Voss, Eleanor Voss, Ryder Voss, and Elijah Voss. She was an aunt and great aunt to many.
She was a dedicated employee, beginning her career as a dental hygienist prior to starting her family. Later in life she worked in Customer Service at Magellan Healthcare for 21 years. She had a passion for needlepointing and making rosaries. She was a devout catholic and was long time parishioner at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in O’Fallon, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to American Heart Association.
