Alfio J. Murabito, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the age of 80. Loving husband of Rosemary Murabito; beloved son of the late Sam "Salvatore" and Margarette Murabito; devoted father of Gina Maria (Paul) Smith; cherished grandfather of Charlie (Dannielle) Kues, and Dominic Kues; dear brother of Sam Murabito; host to many nieces, nephews, and friends; Godfather to Michael Sleme and Robert Sleme. Alfio is also preceded in death by his son, Antonio Dominic Murabito; sister, Marie Nash; and brothers, Angelo Murabito and Dominic Murabito.
Alfio proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rosemary. A man of many dreams and passions with some of his favorite past time activities being his daily routine of playing his online FB games, morning walks visiting throughout the neighborhood, his meticulous pride in his yard work and he was also the previous proud owner of Daddy's Deli & Ice Cream Parlor, fulfilling one of his lifelong dreams of serving up sandwiches from the heart, as well as sharing his love of cooking with customers and family alike. One of his greatest joys was passing down his culinary skills to his grandsons, cherishing the time they spent cooking together.
In his younger years, Alfio ran his own towing business and was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. With a big heart and a giving spirit, he supported numerous charities and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
A devoted grandfather, Alfio spent countless cherished hours playing dominos and Poker with his grandchildren, creating memories and a special secret handshake that will live on in their hearts. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and community made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Alfio was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, generosity, and family devotion will live on through all whose lives he touched.
Memorials may be made in Alfio's name to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Special Olympics.
