Alcester “Chet” Colella

Colella, Alcester "Chet", of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 88. Chet was the loving husband of Wanda Colella; beloved son of the late John and Catherine Colella; devoted father of Starr Ann (Michael) Andrews and Crickett Lee (Michael) Shifflett; cherished grandfather of Bror Brandon (Jill) Olson, Kenneth Robert Shifflett, and Tiffany Michelle Shifflett; dear brother of Paul Colella; and treasured uncle of Steven (Ann) Colella and Stephanie Colella. He is also survived by many friends. Chet was a proud 32nd Degree Mason, a WWII US Navy Armed Guard Trustee, and the last surviving member of the USS Black Point, the last American U-boat victim of WWII.
