Albert “Al” J. Benne
September 13, 1919 — October 29, 2013
Benne, Albert "Al" J., of St. Louis, Missouri, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the age of 94. Loving husband of Mildred C. Benne (nee: Chestnut); beloved son of the late Albert F. and Edna Mary Benne; devoted father of Barbara J. Bullock and Matthew J. (Kimberly) Benne; cherished grandfather of Rebecca (Darin) Boggs, Kendra Benne, and Laura Benne; treasured great-grandfather of Dawson Boggs; dear brother of Harvey L. Benne, Paul H. (Lucille) Benne. He is preceded in death by his brother Donald Benne and sister Margaret Hurt.
Albert proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Bricklayers Union for 50 years, the American Legion for 46 years, Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and a lifetime member of the American Paint Horse Association. He was also a lifetime farmer and rancher. He loved animals and taking care of them.
