Adalberto Acosta

Acosta, Adalberto of St. Charles, Missouri, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of the late Zulema Acosta; cherished son of the late Adalberto and Maria Acosta; devoted father of Maria L. Leon, Juan A. (Rosario) Acosta, Guadalupe (Francisco) Plaza, Bertha Acosta, Aydee (Alberto) Hinojos, Betty (Alfred) Ikeler, and the late Fernando Acosta ; loving grandfather of Arlene (Tony) Acosta, Juan A. Acosta, Jr., Dennis F. Acosta, Sergio Leon, Adrian Leon, Jessica (Shawn) Young, Edgar (Jannet) Leon, Frank R. (Jackie) Plaza, Mark A. (Kelly) Plaza, Gerardo (Shirley) Plaza, Aaron L. (Sidney) Plaza, Manuel Del Riego, Ricardo Del Riego, Brenda Del Riego, Alberto Hinojos, Xochitl H. (Alejanero) Castorela, Veronica Z. (Fabian) Hinojos, Alfred E. Ikeler, Allison E. Ikeler, and Amber E. Ikeler; treasured great-grandfather of 21; dear brother of Ofelia Haro. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Maria Luisa Juarez, Florentino Acosta, Jorge Acosta, Reginaldo Acosta, Teresa Acosta, Isabel Ordez, and Refugio Acosta.

Adalberto enjoyed collecting hats, and liked old cars and trucks. He truly loved spending time with his family, and cherished his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Youth in Need of St. Charles or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
