Dear Shelly, Dylan, and Payton, What a pleasure and an honor it has been to get to know your family and your story, and to guide you through the process of ensuring that Bill lives on through the telling of your story to others. I have no doubt that we were led to each other, and I have been greatly moved, touched, and blessed by the journey. I wish I could have known Bill while he was still on earth, and yet somehow, I feel I have come to know him in a very special way. Peace and blessings always, ~Vivien

Guffey was a great friend in high school, but we lost touch over the years. Bill got a hold of a mutual friend, (Bandit), a couple of years ago, and just like that, we were all together again enjoying life with the wind in our face. Felt like high school again. I am so glad that I was able to spend some time with Guff, but it was not enough. Life gets so busy, sometimes friends take a back seat. I wish I had rode more with you Guffey….You will be missed, and, more importantly, remembered. We will ride together again one day. See you soon, old friend. “WILBER”

Bill I know we talked in passing about when this happens how we don’t want people to be sad, but to miss us and remember all the good things. Buddy let me tell you it’s easier said than done. The Chili Bowl, racing, just hanging out will forever be different. This is going to hurt for awhile. Shelly, Dylan, Peyton anything you need we’ll make it happen. Jim

Where to start, I have so many incredible memories of growing up here in Overland and hanging out with you and John Dillon, Mike Dorlac and all us girls from Cote Brilliante. The Ice Cream Parlor shooting pool, the concerts. I will never forget you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and all of those whose lives you touched. I wish I had been able to see you at one of the Ritenour gatherings this summer. But knowing how happy you were is a small comfort. God Bless You!

Deb and I have not seen Bill and family since they moved away, but for the short time they lived on Divot Court, they were always a blast. Bill spent many hours playing fuzz ball with our son, and we enjoyed the court BBQ gatherings, and especially the Halloween events. Our family will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Bill It was a blessing that our family got to know you and your family. My boyz learned a lot from you and highly respected you. I always knew that when they went out of town with you and Shelly they were in good hands. Personally we laughed a lot, got dirty at the races, screamed at the hockey games and had a good time with each other. Our entire family has many fond memories and pictures of you that we will Cherish forever. Now its our turn to take care of your family and we will be there for them whenever they need us. Rest in peace Bill.

While attending Blues and Cardnials games we would somehow always bump into Billy and his son amongst the large crowd. He would always give me a hug and ask how the rest of the family is. “Billy Joe” will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
