Wilhelmena “Willie” Overton

Wilhelmena “Willie” Overton, of St. Peters, MO, went home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the age of 64. Willie was the loving wife of over 45 years to Taff F. Overton; beloved daughter of the late James B., Sr. and Carrie Whitfield; devoted mother of Kristal (Darius) Lane and stepmother of Bryan Overton, Kevin Overton, and the late Morris Overton; cherished grandmother of Marcus Paddack, Taylor Anderson, Ranaldo Overton, Amber Overton, Nikita Arnett, Logan (Michael) Hawkins, and Zack Thomas; treasured great-grandmother of Ryan Overton and Jayden Overton; and dear sister of Wilma (William) Jackson, Wanda (Wesley) Odom, James (Patricia) Whitfield, Henrietta Whitfield, the late Jimmie Whitfield, and the late Edna Whitfield; and best friend of Elizabeth”Sis” Speichinger and Lennie Lowry. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Willie proudly served her country in the United States Air Force for 8 years. She then went on to work as an Operator for AT&T for over 34 years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the local VFW and American Legion, going to the casinos, reading, and watching sports. However, most importantly, Willie loved to spend quality time with her family and her dear friends. She was a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
