Vivian Ann LaCrue-Medina-Resch

September 17, 1940 — October 31, 2018

Vivian Ann LaCrue-Medina-Resch (nee Medina), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the age of 78. Beloved daughter of the late Matt and Esther Medina; devoted mother of Stephen (Christy) Resch; treasured grandmother of McKenzie Anne, Matthew Anthony and McKayla Hope; dear sister of Matthew (Mary) Medina and Genevieve (Everett) St. Clair; and cherished aunt of Aunt of Rebecca (Jason) King, Michael (Lisa) Medina, and Douglas Medina.

Vivian moved with her family to St. Louis, Missouri in 1953 and attending Rosati-Kain High School. At the age of 13, Vivian left St. Louis to attend Immaculate Conception Academy at Oldenburg, Indiana. She devoted her life to her faith and became Sister Mary Matthew Medina. She was a very educated woman who graduated from Marion College in 1962. She spent 41 years as a teacher before her retirement from Riverview Garden District in 2004. She served as a board member for St. Louis Charter Schools. In her free time, she loved to read and always had a book in hand. Above all else, she loved being a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
