Venieta C. Willbrand

Venieta C. Willbrand (nee Campbell) of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, on Thursday February 8, 2018, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Herman H. Willbrand, Jr.; cherished daughter of the late John F. and Minnie Campbell; devoted mother of John (Lisa) Willbrand, Jeffrey (Lisa) Willbrand, Jay (Linda) Willbrand, James (Anita) Willbrand; loving grandmother of David, Daniel, Micah, Jason, Julie, Catherine, Nicholas, and Benjamin; treasured great-grandmother of ten; dear sister of Marie Harbison, Margaret Brinkopf, Marvin Campbell, and William Campbell.

Venieta was born September 2, 1919 at her parent’s farm house in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She married Herman H. Willbrand, Jr. on July 22, 1944 and they were happily married for 55 years before his passing in 1999. She taught at St. Charles High School for 17 years before retiring in 1975.Venieta was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Organization and the Retired Teacher’s Association.
