Theresa J. Barton (nee: Zoll) of St. Charles Missouri passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at the age of 58. Beloved wife of Edward Scott Barton; cherished daughter of the late Ken Zoll and the late Carol (Eder) Eaton; dear step daughter of the late Tom Quinn. Devoted mother of Shane (Ashley) Barton and Amy Barton. Loving grandmother of Addison, Jackson, Grayson and Hudson Barton. Treasured sister of Tom Quinn and the late Jeff Zoll. Cherished daughter in law of Ed (Sharon) Barton; sister in law of Laura (Michael) Wilson and Dana (Steve) Darrah. Theresa is also survived by several nieces and nephew and other loving family members and friends.
Theresa was born March 9, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. She lived in the St. Louis area her entire life developing several lasting friendships and creating a beautiful family with her husband, Scott, of 36 years. Theresa and Scott raised two children, Shane and Amy. She had a special bond with each of them, being more than just a mother, also a friend. She had four grandchildren, Addison (7) and Jackson (5) spent every chance they could with their Grammy and Papa. She created a home so filled with loved the children never wanted to leave. Her most recent twin grandbabies, Grayson and Hudson, just 7 weeks old, had already been shown so much love and support from their Grammy. Theresa absolutely loved being Grammy and her love will forever be irreplaceable.
Theresa had a gift for gardening. She loved being outside in the sunshine and filled her yard with beautiful flowers and plants. She loved hosting, especially pool parties during the summer, and always made sure everyone was happy and welcome. Theresa created strong and lasting relationships with everyone in her life. She will be forever missed in each of the lives she touched.
Theresa had a special place in her heart for the St Louis Crisis Nursery and the family has asked for any memorials to be made to them in her name.
