Tessie L. Metzger

Tessie L. Metzger, (nee: Houchin) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Jesse Metzger; cherished daughter of the late Grover and Gertrude Houchin; devoted mother of Janice (the late Robert) Gleason, Catherine J. Cameron and Jeffrey P. (Carol) Metzger; loving grandmother of eight; treasured great-grandmother of fourteen; great-great grandmother of three; Tessie is preceded in death by her son, Teddy Metzger; two brothers, Howard Houchin and Kelly Houchin; five sisters Margaret Houchin, Catherine DePew, Norma Osborn, Mary Newell, and twin sister, Bessie J. Letner.

Tessie loved Country music and dancing. She played in the Houchin’s Family Porch Band. Tessie liked to sew and was an avid quilter. She made sure that everyone was well fed, everyone loved her cherry pie, with the best homemade crust.

Tessie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
