Stephen J. Ortwerth

Stephen J. Ortwerth, of Florissant, MO, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 78. Loving husband of 57 years to Nancy Ortwerth; beloved son of the late Norbert F. and Berenice M. Ortwerth; devoted father of Douglas Ortwerth, and Christopher (Cynthia) Ortwerth; cherished grandfather of Rebecca Ortwerth; dear brother of Christine Klaser and the late Craig Ortwerth; brother-in-law of Diane Shayne, Kevin (Nancy) Droesch, and the late Jack (Jude, survives) Droesch; treasured uncle of David Rolwing, Danny Rolwing, and Debbie Rolwing, Craig (Joyce) Ortwerth, Myles (Heather) Corbin, Adam Droesch, Alison Droesch, Gigi Droesch and Jackie Droesch, cousin and friend to many.

Stephen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was a member of St. Angela Merici for over 39 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and would volunteer his time helping others. Stephen loved his family; he was a very involved father and supported both of his sons throughout the years with their many sports and activities. Stephen retired from Crown Zellerbach/PrintPac in 1999 after dedicating over 35 years as a Customer Service Manager. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, RVing, traveling, and spending time down at the Ranch.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Stephen's name to the Alzheimer's Association and St. Angela Merici Parish.
