Sheila McPherson of St. Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 79 on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Effie Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Duncan McPherson; her children, Timothy J. (Andrea) Cosmano, Jeffrey J. (Maria) Cosmano, and Patrick J. (Kathy) Cosmano; her stepchildren, Duncan S. (Jennifer Andrews) McPherson and M. Kate (Brian Campbell-Hope) McPherson-Hope; her grandchildren, Marie Cosmano, Alexandra Cosmano, Grace Cosmano, Sophia Cosmano, and Vincent Cosmano; and her step-grandson, Baron McPherson.
Sheila grew up in Minier, IL and later received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Illinois State University in Normal, IL. For six years, Sheila taught music and she held on to her passion for music all her life. She was active in choral music and served to that effect in various capacities but especially as a church choir director. Sheila also worked at St. Louis University Medical School for several years where she processed admissions. Sheila was a faithful member of St. Charles First United Methodist Church and was active with P.E.O. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
