Sharon Kay Prokovich

July 28, 1944 — December 17, 2019

Sharon Kay Prokovich, (nee: Powers) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of John Prokovich; cherished daughter of the late Leo and Ethel Powers (nee: Bruss); dear sister of Rhonda Powers (Larry Harmon) and the late Cass Powers; loving niece of Geri Yung and Marlene Powers; Sharon is also survived by many cousins, other relatives, many friends and her loving Beagle companion “Snoopy”.

Sharon received the 2014 VOYCE Caregiver Award for her volunteer work at the Garden View Care Center. Sharon would put together monthly themed tea parties for the residents for several years. She also volunteered her time at Chestnut Terrace and Spencer Place Assisted Living. Sharon enjoyed writing and sending cards to family and was an avid line dancer - many times with sister her Rhonda. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time in Camdenton, Missouri, fishing for crappie and blue gill. Sharon played the piano and spent many Christmas and other holiday and family gatherings with her siblings playing and singing carols and songs for her parents. Sharon also had a love for gardening that had been passed down from her mom. You could always fine her spending time caring for her garden.  She will be remembered for being a very caring and thoughtful person and always putting others before herself.

Sharon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made to Church of The Shepherd in St. Charles or American Cancer Society. Sharon would have also loved for anyone to donate their own time to volunteer at a senior facility in their area.
