Selma "Dude" Tiesing (nee Saali) of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 93 on Friday, June 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Tiesing Sr.; her son, Eddie Tiesing Jr.; and her parents, Fred and Hulda Saali.

Selma is survived by her children, Jim Tiesing, Dianne Beech, Donna (Donnie) Waldron, and Sharon (Tom) Ross; her grandchildren, Christina (Phillip) McKinzie, Denise (Shazib) Pervaiz, and Danielle (Jordan) Schelling; her great-grandchildren, Quinton Cortez, MaKayla McKinzie, Cillian McKinzie, and Payden McKinzie, and Nile Pervaiz; and she was a friend to many.

Selma was an artistic craftsperson who enjoyed reading, quilting, and tending to her flowers while doing yardwork. For fun, she also liked to solve jigsaw or crossword puzzles. She was self-sufficient and independent with a real talent for solving problems and improvising solutions. There was a special place in her heart for animals and, above everything, she loved her family and the memories they all made together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Selma’s name may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

Our sympathies to the family. We miss watching her take her walk on our street. She loved talking to our dogs.
