O'Brien, Rose Ellen (nee: Gould), of Saint Charles, MO, died on Friday, November 4, 2016, at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late John J. "Jack" O'Brien; beloved daughter of the late George F. and Mary E. Gould; devoted mother of James F. (Lynne) O'Brien, Molly (Mike) Reilly, Ann (Jim) Sheridan, Thomas G. (Debbie) O'Brien, John J. (Julie) O'Brien; cherished grandmother of 16; treasured great-grandmother of 4; dear sister of Mary Catherine (Jack) Schneider, and Ann Therese (Al) Flynn.

Rose was also preceded in death by three of her brothers, George "Buzz" Gould, Robert J. Gould, and John D. "Jack" Gould.

Rose was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she was a part of the Ladies Sodality. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and was a dedicated volunteer. She retired from American Airlines after more than 30 years of service. Rose was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. As Rose would say, “Remember, you represent the family.”

Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
