Ronald E. McLaughlin

On June 8, 2017, Ronald McLaughlin, 73, died at his home in O’Fallon, MO after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 18, 1943 to Edward McLaughlin and Gertrude Rich McLaughlin. He married Patricia Gorog (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents and sibling Kathleen Cronin and is survived by his wife Pat, sibling Edward McLaughlin, Brother-in-Law David (Harriet) Cronin, nephews Tim (Lindsay) Cronin, Kevin (David) Cronin, niece Karen/Elizabeth (Charles) Kim, nephew Brian (Lisa) Gorog, 3 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces.

Ron spent his professional career working in New Orleans (1971 – 2005) working as a Systems/Analyst for Entergy. Ron and Pat moved back to St. Louis in 2000 to be closer to family. He was a runner for most of his life and completed 15 marathons – two of those in different countries. Ron will be cremated per his wishes and the family will have services in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, at a later date.
