Robert E. Poynter Sr.

Robert Eugene Poynter Sr., of St Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Ann Poynter; cherished son of the late Fred and Mae Poynter; devoted father of James (Beth) Poynter and Robert Poynter, Jr.; loving grandfather of James John Poynter, Jr., Sophia Anne Poynter, Abigial Goodrich-Beckner, and Willow Ann Poynter; dear brother of John (late Cricket) Smith; caring significant other of Joan Roark; loving uncle, cousin and friend to many. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Poynter; his two sisters, Hazel Tustanowsky and Margaret Poynter.

Robert loved spending time with his family, he especially enjoyed playing board games with his grandchildren. He was a hard worker and enjoyed vacationing. Robert was also an Avid Cardinal fan and a loyal member of Fairmount Jockey Club. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
