I went to high school with Bob. I didn’t really get to know him until our ’57 McBride High School class started having bi-monthly lunches some years ago. I found him to be a good friend and a witty diner. God bless him.

From our 1957 McBride class, Bob didn’t run in my group. We were more sports minded. Bob was not. I remember him as quiet, reserved, and genuine. I just know you had to be much loved by all who knew you. RIP class mate..

Bob was a kind man. We went to McBride together and had some classes together. He attended many class lunches and enjoyed his company. He made an elaborate book on our high school and on our class and was enjoyed by many of us. He’ll be missed. God bless Bob and his family.

candle 7Bob was a wonderful friend and mentor to me in the Advertising Department at Brown She Company. He taught me much of what I know about sales promotion and special events. So happy he gave a rescue dog such a nice home and loved reading his Facebook posts about life with Mlle. Renee. He will be missed.

I was so sorry to hear the news about Bob. We knew each other online, but through the years, we’ve shared so many letters and cards. He sent little gifts to our dogs, and he also send me wonderful examples of his origami projects and brochures from some of the museums and art installations he visited. I still have plants growing from bulbs he sent one year. We shared a mutual love of books and dogs, art and photography. I always called him St. Louis’s best ambassador because of the photos and stories he shared about his city.

I hope Renee has found a good home. Many of the pillows she likes to sleep on were ones I made and sent to her. I’d love to know how she’s doing and who has her. She was truly Bob’s best friend after he lost Nickie the dog and his cat Oskar. Renee and Bob rescued each other. There are a group of us who would help find Renee a new home if she needs one. She’s a wonderful girl who couldn’t have had a better human companion and home than what Rob provided her. He was a great person, and I’ll miss him.
