Robert “Bob” Dale Raithel of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Ginger Raithel; cherished son of the late Forest and Virginia Raithel; devoted father of Sharon L. (John E., Jr.) Henning, Daniel F. (TuSun (Mina)) Raithel, Sue Ann (Vic) Adamson, Cynthia M. Hotop, John Richard White Antelope, Janet L. (Jeff) Besselman.

Dear brother of Dr. Donald Allen Raithel. Robert is also preceded in death by his brother, GySgt Forest Richard Raithel.
Robert proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. He worked in the Aerospace industry and retired from McDonnell Douglas after 38 years. He worked as a machinist and manager in the Tooling Division. Robert was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, he served on the Board of Education, and volunteered doing bus maintenance as well as being a bus driver. He also used his carpenter skills to build a science lap cabinet.
Robert earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy scouts of America. He later devoted many years as a Unit Commissioner, establishing Cub Scout Pack 757 at Zion Lutheran Church 51 years ago. His favorite hobby was hunting and being outdoors. Most of all, Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed supporting his family and loving them unconditionally. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
