Robert “Bob” Bock, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away July 24, 2017, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Marilyn Bock; beloved son of the late Julius and Anna Bock; devoted father of Robin (Kevin) Hoelting, Karin (Mark) Nuernberger, and Susan Hilker; and cherished grandfather of Chelsea Iffrig, Robbie Hilker, and Stephanie Hilker. Bob is also survived by his beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Rosco.
Bob retired from General Motors after more than 37 years as a foreman. He was an active member St. Peter Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus, and was known to most as the “Potato Man” at the church fish fry. He loved traveling with his wife, and family vacations at Hilton Head. Bob was also a member of the Gateway Miniature Schnauzer’s Club. He volunteered at St. Joseph Health Center, where he looked forward to visiting with patients and bringing joy to their day. As an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he has his own brick at the new Busch Stadium. He also enjoyed tailgating with family and friends at the Mizzou Football games. Bob was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
