Rita M. Vehige

Rita M. Vehige (nee Carroll), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 77. Loving wife of Lemoine Vehige; beloved daughter of the late Judge Michael J. and Genevieve M. Carroll (nee Schmitt); devoted mother Steve (Stephanie) Vehige, David (Theresa) Vehige, Jim (Jennifer) Vehige, and Lauren (Constantin) Burcea; cherished grandmother of Cody (Amanda) Vehige, Amber Vehige, Elizabeth Vehige, William Vehige, Nora Vehige, and Samuel Vehige; dear brother of Michael (Carmen) Carroll; sister-in-law, Cindy Carroll; and is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, dear friends, and in-laws. Rita is also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Carroll and Justin Carroll.

Rita was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church for over 45 years. She retired as a Registered Nurse after over 20 years of service in the medical field. Family was very important to Rita. She enjoyed spending time with her family and baking with her grandchildren. Rita loved to spend time at their river home and enjoying the river. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Rita was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Rita's name to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Peter Catholic Church.
