Richard John Kochtanek, of Warrenton, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Lula Kochtanek; cherished son of the late James and Florence (nee: Kalbrunner) Kochtanek; devoted father of Sean (Laurel) Kochtanek; step-father of Collette Matuschek, Charlotte (Dale) Ray, Alvin (Kelly) Hall, Melissa (Larry) Parks, Mitchell Hall, Michael Hall, Audrey (John) Hall and Regina (Joe) Perkins; loving grandfather of Brenden, Kersten, Morgan, Shane, Brittaney, Kyle and Paige; Richard is also survived by many Step-Grandchildren.

Richard married Lula Hall on May 31st, 2005. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955-1957 and was an Active Reserve from 1958-1962. Richard worked at GM for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling and his yard work, keeping the grass green. Richard loved working on many small projects. He also enjoyed baseball and hockey, Lula and Richard’s first date was a Blue’s Hockey game. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

    candle 2I met Richard at a car dealership when getting a Buick, found out he was a Brother Submariner and became friends. He and Lula came to multiple events and we enjoyed the friendship. He will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayer with Lu and the family!
