Ralph L. Parks

June 4, 1929 — April 10, 2019

Ralph L. Parks of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bettie Lou Parks; parents, William and Julie Parks; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Ralph is survived by his children, Hollie (Thomas) Black and Ralph “Doug” (Margaret) Parks II; his treasured grandchildren, Corey (Sean) Johnson, Ryan (Brian) Brennan, Jordon (Josh) Sampson, Thomas Black IV, Lukas Black, Hannah Black, Loren (Tom) Lombardo, and Michael Parks, and his cherished great-grandchildren, Hunter, Niko, William, Caroline, Lukas Jr., Liam, and Baby Ava expected to arrive in July.

Ralph was a man of strong faith in God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church O’Fallon, Missouri. He married the love of his life, Bettie Lou Picker on December 3rd, 1949. They spent 61 loving years together. Bettie was always by his side, even making their home in France for a year while Ralph served in the United States Army. Ralph maintained his patriotism, later becoming a member of American Legion Post 313.

Ralph had a great love for the outdoors. He could often be found hunting or fishing, and often enjoyed gardening. Above all, he was most proud of his family. Ralph adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
