Oliver loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and hunting. He also enjoyed the peace of sitting outside swinging on his front porch, and he never missed his regular Tuesdays at The Corner Bar. Oliver was a treasured father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was dearly loved, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There are so so many memories of Ollie and my dad Dodo through the years. Vi was a gem and one of the sweetest, compassionate moms I ever knew growing up. Ollie and my dad were friends for a lifetime. So many sweet memories of our family and theirs. Sweet passing Ollie. Have a blast connecting with all your loved ones in heaven. Tell my mom and dad I Iove them and come and visit me again in my dreams! Rest in peace dear friend. To the entire Goetges family, I’ll be toasting you on Thursday from Virginia and laughing at ALL of Ollie’s and Dodo’s antics throughout the years. You will never be forgotten.
Loved Ollie and all the memories with him and the Goetges family. My heart is saddened by this loss but will uphold his wishes and only think about the good times spent with him – trips to the family farm swimming in the lake and sitting around the fire, playing school in the basement while our parents played cards in the kitchen, trips to the Ozarks and Jellystone Park, all the family weddings. I could go on and on. What I’ll always remember is the smile that never left his face and his stories of all the fun he and dad had. This will keep the smile on my face even during this sad time. Love to his family and to my dear friend Rhonda.
My condolences to the family, I remember Ollie, his wife and kids from when I lived in Fairlane Meadows back in the 1960’s. They lived one street over next to the Callison Family.
Ollie’s children and their family, Audrey and family, Elby and Margaret and family. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all.
